I am looking for a fun way to introduce the NYS Constitution to my 10yo, always homeschooled son. This is concise, but dry and a bit wordier than what I’m looking for.

I’m not looking for exercises to require him to do, but a format that will engage his interest. He is fascinated with the legal world, and just needs a presentation that will appeal to him – he’ll do the rest!

A plus would be if his 7.5yo sister could find something pleasing, too,,. they like exploring things together.

Ideas?

Hello,
Sounds interesting.
I have my students write questions, answers with page and paragraph reference. Each student drafts his/her own Q’s * A’s . When completed, the students shows to teacher. I skim.
Students then question each other, with the goal of answering and asking questions of as many students in the class as possible.
This activity requires that the teacher circulate to monitor so that students stay on task.
Students love it!

Thanks for the input, Margery. In this case, we didn’t create the video. We found the resource and shared it here on TeacherGenius so that teachers could use it with their students. Hopefully more schools will unblock YouTube for teachers and more video creators will post on TeacherTube!
