Lesson Adaptation
John Tenniel (1820-1914) was one of nineteenth-century England’s most prolific and highly-regarded illustrators. In addition to creating the famous illustrations for Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Tenniel was a gifted political cartoonist.
This site (http://arthist.umn.edu/aict/Tennielweb/index.html) contains political cartoons focused on the Civil War. These high res images can be used in Visual Discovery presentations, and even inserted into TCI Classroom Presentations.
